The City of Hartley is hiring a Utility Billing Clerk/Administrative Assistant who would be responsible for accounting and clerical work performed for the municipal utilities, ambulance, and other departments of the City.
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Two years of bookkeeping, accounting and/or general office experience. Considerable customer service experience. Computer and office skills including e-mail, billing and/or database software, Microsoft Office. Accounting or finance experience preferred.
This position is responsible for assisting with maintenance of the City’s utility billing records and accounts, cash receipting and customer services. Provides back-up to the Deputy Clerk/Treasurer as needed. The position is responsible for utility billing processing including bills, payments, and adjustments as well as the ambulance billing process.
