FALL CLEAN-UP DAY MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2026
NOTICE: *RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS ONLY*

NOTICE: Once trucks have picked up the refuse on your block, they will not return to pick up more.

Regular weekly collection will occur at the same time as any additional refuse.

• The city will pick up refuse from Hartley RESIDENTIAL customers ONLY (NOT commercial customers)

• Construction and demolition material will require the use of a dumpster. Call Brommer Sanitation at 712-722-0631 to have a dumpster delivered.

All refuse will be picked up on your regular garbage route pick up site.

Once trucks have picked up the refuse on your block, they will not return to pick up more.

***COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS CAN CONTACT BROMMER SANTITATION AT ANYTIME DURING THE YEAR FOR PICKUP. CALL 712-722-0631. ***

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS MATERIALS DISPOSAL

**RESIDENTIAL CUSTOMERS ONLY**

THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 24, 2026

• Trailers will be located at the City Maintenance Building (City Shop) at

140 3rd Street SW from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Thursday September 24, 2026.

• Hartley residential customers must take Household Hazardous Materials to the trailers at the City Maintenance Building during this time only.

• The city will NOT pick up household hazardous materials from the curb.

• Customers will be charged $1.00 per gallon for Latex paint.

• Commercial customers must make arrangements with Northwest Iowa Area Solid Waste Agency for disposal of hazardous materials. Call 712-324-4026.
