Your Chamber dues help pay for community events and services designed to foster commercial and economic growth while improving the quality of life for Hartley residents. These benefits include:

• Ability to accept Hartley Chamber Bucks
  As a Chamber member, you are able to participate in the Chamber Bucks program. This program encourages people to shop LOCALLY.
• Advertising opportunities
  The Chamber offers countless opportunities to showcase your business: newsletter, event committees, Chamber website
• City map
  Your business will be linked to a map of the city on the Hartley Website.
• Committee/ board participation/ volunteering
  Participation on the Chamber Board or volunteering on committees offers members additional opportunities to meet business and professional people. Volunteering at Chamber events helps the community while promoting your business.
• Economic development – HEDC & OBEDC opportunities
  The Hartley Chamber of Commerce supports and works closely with the Hartley Economic Development Committee (and O'Brien Economic Development Committee) to actively pursue business opportunities coming to Hartley and to create economic growth for our city.
• Membership directory - website & newspaper 
  As a Chamber member, your business is listed on the Chamber website and in the local newspaper. Chamber members may have access to the Hartley Chamber mailing list at no cost for networking with other businesses.
• Referrals
  Each year the Chamber receives inquiries about local businesses. We refer Chamber members first.
• Ribbon cutting
  Chamber Representatives will welcome your business to the community with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony whether you are a new business or reopening to a new location. The Sentinel-News will be notified to take pictures and publish a story on your opening.
• Social networking through Chamber events
  Sponsoring the Chamber and its events and activities are opportunities for community & business recognition of your business. All employees of member businesses and organizations can participate in the Chamber of Commerce events and volunteer opportunities.
• Special sponsorship opportunities
  Members may sponsor an event or events and receive additional advertising benefits.
• Tax-deductible
  Membership dues may be a tax-deductible business expense.

  Your business will be listed in the directory of any Hartley Visitor's Guide free of charge.
• Website Exposure
  You will receive a free listing on the Chamber Website, www.hartleyiowa.com. Includes an image (logo or photo), address, your e-mail address, business hours, and a brief business description. Also a free link to your company's website.
• Welcome Packets
  Hartley Chamber members may submit flyers/brochures for insertion into the Welcome Packets or Welcome Baskets given to new businesses and residents moving to our community.
• Yearly Chamber sponsored events
  Chamber-sponsored events throughout the year bring members together for both business and pleasure.
